At first glance, you may not think such a high-tech home theater was built as an extended family entertainment space. Enter and you might think you were on the starship enterprise. The room is elliptical in shape, with a huge lighted oval in the ceiling soffit bearing a sunburst in relief. Ahead, a brightly lit proscenium of square panels beckons like something from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
